Our journey

Over 25 years bringing puppets to life. Our own path in theatre and a professional career in television, film and advertising.

2000

The birth of Sinilos

In October 2000, a shared passion for theatre and visual creation took definitive shape. Puppets stopped being just a stage device and became the main language for telling stories.

That's how Sinilos was born — a company that has continuously produced and toured family shows ever since.

2001

El Pintasomnis: the first show

In May 2001 we premiered our first original production. Using the Bocón technique, we created a children's show that opened the doors to numerous venues.

The show was selected for venues and festivals such as the Viladecans International Theatre and Animation Festival, the Teatre Artenbrut, and Catalonia's Children and Youth Theatre Fair.

2003

Variétés: cabaret and comedy for adult audiences

We premiered Variétés, a variety show aimed at adult audiences that explored the world of cabaret with plenty of humour. The production stood out for its use of giant puppets that incorporated the performers' own bodies for physical gesture, combined with head manipulation by a second puppeteer.

2003

Los Lunnis and our first TV collaborations

Our stage experience caught the attention of TV productions specialising in puppetry. We began collaborating as professional puppeteers on RTVE's Los Lunnis, balancing this work with our own shows.

This marked the start of a long television career for Lores Marcó as a puppeteer, while Miquel Del Olmo took part in the format's early stage and later continued on various productions linked to the brand.

These experiences brought us working dynamics typical of large audiovisual productions, which we later carried into Sinilos' own practice.

2005

MonNinots and exploring Bunraku

In May 2005 we premiered MonNinots, a production centred on the Bunraku technique and the visible relationship between puppeteer and character.

The show toured venues such as the Teatre Artenbrut, the Gavà Puppet Festival, Intermón Oxfam's Festa de l'Esperança, the Teatre Tantarantana and the Poble Espanyol. Sinilos kept building its own creative approach based on researching manipulation techniques.

2006

Audiovisual innovation and our first TV pilot

Miquel joined the specialist team of Los Algos (Gestmusic / Cuatro), a pioneering project that combined puppets with digital post-production.

This experience sparked new creative and technical interests, leading to the development of Els Rodamons, the company's first TV pilot conceived in-house.

2007

En Ximpa a la selva

In 2006 we premiered the first version of En Ximpa a la selva, a 30-minute format designed for small venues and preschool audiences, especially aimed at nurseries and early-years education.

Following its warm reception, the show evolved into a second, 45-minute version, created specifically for its premiere at the Teatre Tantarantana, adapting it for family audiences and larger theatre venues.

This expansion allowed for a richer narrative and staging while keeping the original spirit, opening it up to a wider circuit of theatres and auditoriums. The show went on to tour the Castilla y León Theatre Fair, the Sala Fènix and the Barcelona Puppet Festival, among other venues.

2009

New visual languages

Exploring new languages led us to experiment with traditional animation, stop motion and computer animation. This learning was integrated into Una de Pastorets, which combined live manipulation with recorded scenes and digital animation.

That same year we began developing Yababu!, a project that connected our puppetry experience with digital formats.

2011

Yababu! and national recognition

In January 2011 we launched Yababu! online. The project was recognised by RTVE.es and Red.es with the INVI Award in Education, as well as the Special Ciudad de la Luz Prize.

This recognition confirmed Sinilos' ability to bring together tradition, innovation and new forms of communication. At the same time, we worked as puppet makers on El Cohete Musical (Clan TVE), broadening our experience in national educational productions.

2012

Personal growth and new perspectives (2012–2015)

After more than a decade of intense theatre and audiovisual activity, we entered a period devoted to raising our family and exploring disciplines related to personal development, education and wellbeing.

These were years of learning across diverse fields that broadened our understanding of people, communication, emotions and creative processes. Although our stage activity slowed down, Sinilos never stopped: we gathered new experiences that, over time, deeply enriched the way we create characters and connect with audiences.

Looking back, this period was an investment in personal and professional growth that would later prove key to the company's renewal.

2016

Lunnis de Leyenda

The premiere of Lunnis de Leyenda on Clan TVE marked a new stage for Lores Marcó, who joined the show's team of puppeteers.

Her work brought characters such as Lulila and the rabbit to life, building on a TV career that had begun more than a decade earlier.

2018

From the studio to the big screen (2018–2019)

During 2018, Lores worked as a puppeteer on the filming of La gran aventura de los Lunnis y el libro mágico, released in January 2019.

Taking part in a national film production added an experience that continued to feed Sinilos' creative and technical work.

2023

Technical advisory for advertising

In June 2023 we collaborated on manipulation tests and technical development for an advertising proposal for ALDI.

Our work helped validate staging solutions and character behaviour that would become part of the final campaign.

2024

Theatre, puppet building and major productions (2024–present)

In January 2024, the Aldi campaign starring Al i Di began, an ongoing project. Miquel Del Olmo took on the role of technical coordinator between agency and production company, leading teams of specialists and developing solutions using muppets, Bunraku and photo puppets.

At the same time, the Sinilos workshop opened a new professional chapter, building and designing puppets for production companies and agencies.

On TV, Miquel continues working as a specialist for Clan TV on formats such as Aprendemos en Clan and Aprendemos el Reto, playing the character Nacho Mapacho and taking part in special productions for RTVE.
