Cookie policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores on the user's browser to save and retrieve information about their browsing. This Site uses both its own cookies and, on some pages, third-party cookies.
2. Cookies used on this site
First-party technical cookies (no consent required)
- cookieConsent — stored in the browser (localStorage). Remembers whether the user has accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so the notice is not shown again. Duration: indefinite, until manually cleared.
- lang — technical cookie. Remembers the language (Catalan, Spanish or English) chosen by the user. Duration: 1 year.
Analytics cookies (require your consent)
- Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*) — third-party cookies (Google Ireland Limited) that let us measure, in aggregate, how many visits the Site gets and how it is browsed, so we can improve its content. Duration: up to 2 years in the browser; the associated data is deleted from Google's systems after 14 months (2 months for individual event data). These are only activated if you accept the cookie notice; if you reject it, this script is never loaded. Google may process this data on servers outside the European Economic Area (including the US), relying on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or Google's adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information in Google's privacy policy.
Third-party cookies
- SoundCloud — some show pages embed a SoundCloud audio player (w.soundcloud.com). Just like Google Analytics, the player is not loaded until you accept the cookie notice (or press the "Load player" button shown in its place); only then may SoundCloud set its own cookies for the player to work and for analytics purposes. You can read SoundCloud's privacy policy at soundcloud.com/pages/privacy.
3. Consent
When you access the Site, a notice is shown with two equally prominent options: "Accept" and "Reject". First-party technical cookies are always used, as they are necessary for the Site's basic operation, and do not require consent. Analytics and third-party cookies (Google Analytics, SoundCloud) are only loaded if you press "Accept"; if you press "Reject", or don't interact with the notice, no analytics or third-party script is loaded.
You can change your decision — to accept, or to withdraw consent already given — at any time, just as easily as the first time, by pressing the "Cookie settings" link found in the footer of every page on the Site. This will show the notice again so you can choose anew.
4. Managing or deleting cookies from your browser
In addition to using the Site's "Cookie settings" link, you can allow, block or delete cookies stored on your device through your browser settings:
- Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies
- Firefox: Privacy & Security options
- Safari: Privacy preferences
- Edge: Cookies and site permissions settings
Note that blocking all cookies may affect the correct functioning of some features of the Site.
5. Changes to this policy
This cookie policy may be updated to reflect regulatory changes or changes to how the Site works. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
